C1351 Teleportation
C1351 Teleportation
Despite the formidable power of the Five Overlords, they didn't have the capacity to defend every city within their territories. They were forced to prioritize the protection of the larger, thriving cities, often merely observing the situation in the more isolated regions. After all, the martial artists in those areas were fewer in number and lower in rank. Even if they were to fall victim to the Devil Cloud Sect and be cast into the Demon Aura Blood Pool, the resulting Demon Aura Elemental Spirit would be of inferior quality, thereby slowing the Sect's increase in strength considerably. For the foreseeable future, they were unlikely to pose a significant threat to the Five Overlords.
As a result, while the continent had seen a temporary lull in large-scale, high-level conflicts, the battles among the middle and lower ranks had intensified. My own Yi Chang City is a case in point. Being too remote and lacking in high-level combatants, it was beyond the Purple Cauldron Sect's ability to provide timely aid. That's why the Devil Cloud Sect targeted us.
Today, if it hadn't been for a senior passing through who dealt with Zhou Yanshun and his cohorts, Yi Chang City might have faced annihilation.
Mu Yi exhaled deeply, having finished his account. This time, he had unintentionally let his emotions seep into his narrative. Once again, Mu Yi expressed profound gratitude to Lin Xuan. However, these events were common knowledge to any martial cultivator on the continent with a decent level of cultivation. Why then did this individual seem so oblivious?
Mu Yi was puzzled. Could it be that Lin Xuan had been in seclusion for several years, only recently emerging, and was therefore unaware of the significant shifts in the continent's dynamics over the past few months? Or perhaps Lin Xuan was not a martial cultivator from the Dongyuan Continent at all?
Could he be from another continent?
As an Emperor Level Martial Cultivator, he stood among the elite of the continent.
Though he had never dared to traverse the boundless Heavenly Elemental Sea to explore other lands, he was well aware of their existence.
The Central Essence Continent, in particular, was the heart of the entire Tianyuan Continent.
Rumors abounded that the Central Essence Continent was home to hundreds of individuals at the pinnacle of Emperor Level.
And there were even those whose power was so great, they could effortlessly eliminate Emperor Level Martial Cultivators.
If this were true, and the stranger hailed from the Central Essence Continent,
perhaps the never-ending conflict could finally be resolved.
Such thoughts were mere daydreams for Muyi.
After all, beings of such terrifying power were rare, even in the Central Essence Continent, and occupied its highest echelons.
Considering the peak Emperor Level cultivators of the Dongyuan Continent...
They scarcely regarded the Dongyuan Continent with high esteem, so why would they personally intervene in its affairs, especially to confront the Devil Cloud Sect?
Mu Yi sighed internally.
"I see. I hadn't realized so much had changed."
Lin Xuan nodded slightly upon hearing this, not surprised by the news.
The situation was as he had anticipated. Both the Central Essence Continent and the Dongyuan Continent existed in a peculiar state of equilibrium.
Absent the influence of external forces, like the arrival of experts from the Demon Essence Race,
the mixed-blood forces carrying the Demon Essence Race lineage and the other factions maintained a balance of power.
Even on the Dongyuan Continent, where the Devil Cloud Sect was significantly stronger than the other Five Overlords, thanks to the covert backing of the Demon Aura Hall, their advantage was not overwhelming.
There was no imminent threat of their total annihilation.
Nonetheless, as long as nothing interfered with his forthcoming plans, all was well.
Having ascertained the true might of the Devil Cloud Sect, Lin Xuan felt more assured about his next move.
It was time to implement his thunderous strategy.
"Mu City, may I make use of your Cross-Domain Transportation Array?" Lin Xuan inquired once more.
Though his Emperor Level High-grade Flying Ship was swift, and the journey between domains would not differ greatly in time,
the Cross-Domain Transportation Array offered a more expedient and convenient option.
Teleportation arrays are far more convenient and efficient, especially for someone like Lin Xuan, who needed to traverse nearly half of the continent. Using a Cross-Domain Transportation Array would make the journey much easier. Even a peak Emperor Level Martial Cultivator would struggle to endure the trip aboard an Emperor Level Flying Ship. Lin Xuan opted for the most cost-effective approach.
"Senior, you are the savior of Yi Chang City. Such a small favor is the least I can do. Our city's teleportation formation is still operational. Please follow me," Mu Yi quickly responded.
"Let's go," Lin Xuan said, stepping forward, with the martial puppet trailing behind him. Tian swiftly shrank to the size of a palm and settled onto Lin Xuan's shoulder, curling up there. The two, along with their small companion, departed the Emperor Level Flying Ship. A powerful gust of wind swept up Mu Yi, carrying him along. The massive Emperor Level Flying Ship then contracted and was secured in Lin Xuan's hand.
Mu Yi was left feeling disoriented, but in an instant, he found himself inside the teleportation hall of Yi Chang City. His eyes were wide with astonishment, and despite this being the second time, it only served to confirm the other's formidable and immeasurable power, which exceeded his wildest expectations. He couldn't shake the suspicion that Lin Xuan might be a peak Emperor Level expert. Yet, having rarely encountered such powerful individuals, he couldn't be certain of his judgment.
"Activate the teleportation formation," Lin Xuan instructed, bringing Mu Yi back to reality.
"Yes, Senior," Mu Yi replied, stepping forward to place the spirit stones and initiate the Spell Formation. Lin Xuan positioned himself at the center of the array.
Once Lin Xuan learned that he was in Yi Chang City of Changyang Province, he had a good sense of his location. His years spent on the Dongyuan Continent were not for naught; he was well-acquainted with its geography. Changyang Province lay on the southern side of the continent, nearly half a continent away from the central region dominated by the Five Overlords. However, Lin Xuan had no intention of heading directly to the headquarters of the Six Great Factions.
Lin Xuan had temporarily relocated the Lin Family, Drifting Cloud Sect, and Ming Chang Royal Family away from the Central Essence Continent to avoid the ravages of war. They found refuge in a secluded, yet somewhat renowned mountain range—the Southern Warm Mountain Range—within an unnamed valley where he established the new power base, Tianyuan Palace. This range was situated on the southern side of the Dongyuan Continent, making it relatively closer to the majority of the continent.
Tianyuan Palace was the embodiment of Lin Xuan's ambitions, serving as a sanctuary for most of his relatives and friends—those who truly mattered to him across the entire continent. Although the Dongyuan Continent was currently enjoying a period of stability, the Demon Essence Sect had shifted their focus to the remote and untamed regions, which coincidentally included the location of Tianyuan Palace.
Lin Xuan was determined to explore the area to ensure the safety of everyone at Tianyuan Palace before proceeding with his own plans. Despite the detour, he knew it wouldn't cause any significant delay. Having set his course, a surge of brilliant white light enveloped Lin Xuan, the Martial Puppet, and Tian, and in an instant, they vanished from sight.
