In that instant, Lei Tianchun felt as if his soul were about to leave his body, with only one desperate thought pulsing through his mind: escape or face certain death.    

Yet, as he spun around and dashed less than 300 meters away, Peter Parker's form materialized before him, his voice cool and detached as it filled the air.    

"Think you can get away?"    

At the sight of Peter, Lei Tianchun's eyes blazed with a furious crimson. A wild, crazed look overtook his features.    

"You little wretch, if you're set on killing me, you'll pay dearly for it!"    

His words were still hanging in the air when he lunged at Peter, his body inflating rapidly as if he were a balloon on the verge of bursting.    

"Self-destructing, are we? Sadly, that won't work against me."    

With a mere thought, a mysterious broken sword appeared in Peter Parker's hand. The Green Emperor Sword Technique transformed into a simple blade and struck out.    

This seemingly effortless stroke cut through everything, striking Lei Tianchun without warning. His aura, which had swelled to its peak, now crumbled like a breached dam.    

Now a Third Grade Golden Immortal with the enigmatic broken sword in his grasp, Peter could wield the Green Emperor Sword Technique - Mortal Transformation. Even Lei Tianchun, a Sixth Grade Golden Immortal, found his cultivation base cleaved by Peter's sword.

Peter Parker's expression remained stoic as he reached out and seized Lei Tianchun. The very fabric of space around Lei Tianchun began to collapse. Stripped of his cultivation base, Lei Tianchun was powerless to resist and was obliterated by the imploding space.    

Lei Tianchun, the esteemed sect master of the Wind Lightning Immortal Sect, was no more.    

Witnessing this, the members of the Wind Lightning Immortal Sect were stricken with despair, their faces drained of color. The once-revered sect master, a sixth-grade Golden Immortal, had been effortlessly slain by the young man in black.    

The Wind Lightning Immortal Sect had met its end.    

With Lei Tianchun's demise, the sect's capacity to resist crumbled. Elders and disciples alike had perished, fled, or capitulated.    

In under half a day, the Heaven Breaking Immortal Sect had utterly vanquished the Wind Lightning Immortal Sect.    

Ling Yangcheng, standing in the main hall of the conquered sect, reflected on the annexation with a heavy heart. The ascent of the Heaven-Cleaving Immortal Sect to its current heights was beyond what he had ever imagined.    

Prior to Peter Parker's arrival, the Heaven Breaking Immortal Sect had been weaker than the Wind Lightning Immortal Sect, constantly at a disadvantage in their conflicts. Even the hard-won immortal stone mine was nearly seized by their rivals.    

But everything had changed with Peter Parker's entrance onto the scene.

Given time, Ling Yangcheng was confident he could elevate the Wind and Thunder Immortal Sect to a premier Golden Immortal force, rivaling even the Green Mountain Immortal Sect. It was conceivable that the Sky-Breaking Immortal Sect might ascend to the Great Luo.    

Two days after the Wind Thunder Immortal Sect met its demise, the Star Pool from the Starcloud Immortal Pavilion arrived as promised. Peter Parker, without a moment's delay, departed the Sky-Breaking Immortal Sect with the Star Pool to seek out the treasure land connected to the Heavenly Emperor Palace that the Star Pool had mentioned.    

Guided by the Star Pool, Peter journeyed northward from the Sky-Breaking Immortal Sect. Roughly half a month passed before they reached a vast expanse of sea in the northern reaches of the Bedlam Lands. They soared over the waves for several days until the Star Pool signaled for them to halt.    

"This is the place," the Star Pool announced, surveying the sea below before turning to Peter. "Centuries ago, during my training, I was pursued to this spot. I ended up at the bottom of the sea, where fortune smiled upon me, and I discovered an underwater palace."    

"Then let's not waste any time," Peter replied, ready to dive.    

The Ancient Heavenly Emperor Palace was once a grand complex of 36 palaces that spanned the entire Immortal World. Now, all traces of it had vanished, but the possibility of one palace lying submerged was very real.    

"Be cautious," Xing Chi warned. "The sea here teems with formidable creatures." With that, he plunged into the depths, and Peter followed suit.    

As Golden Immortals, they were unfazed by the ocean's pressure, and they quickly descended hundreds of meters. Suddenly, a school of peculiar black fish, each over a hundred meters in length with horned heads and razor-sharp teeth, darted towards them like bolts of black lightning.    

These fish were as powerful as First Grade Golden Immortals and even more formidable in their deep-sea domain.    

"Let's not engage them," Xing Chi advised. "Spilling blood here will only attract more trouble. It could summon swarms of sea creatures, and we'd be overwhelmed."    

Just as Peter Parker was gearing up for an attack, Star Pool interjected.    

With those words, he sped up, diving swiftly towards the ocean's depths.    

Peter Parker extended his hand, and with a surge of power befitting a Golden Immortal, he conjured a barrier that repelled the oncoming strange fish. Undeterred, he pressed on towards the seabed.    

Together, they descended thousands of meters until they finally reached the ocean floor.    

Before them lay a colossal palace, partially buried in the sediment. Its form gradually became visible to Peter Parker.    

It was unmistakable.    

This had to be the underwater palace Star Pool had mentioned.    

The structure looked as though it had plummeted from the heavens, embedding itself in the abyss.    

"This underwater palace bears a striking resemblance to the ancient abode of the Zenith Heaven Immortal General from one of the Heavenly Emperor Palace's 36 Heavenly Palaces," Peter Parker mused, a look of intrigue crossing his face.    

It seemed increasingly likely that the palace before him was indeed connected to the legendary Heavenly Emperor Palace.
