"Back in Ancient Times, the Sky Origin Temple was obliterated, and the Tianyuan Continent was thoroughly plundered. The Demon Essence Race deemed the Tianyuan Continent beneath them, treating it as a Secret Realm. Periodically, they would descend to raid it. That's the essence of the Cosmic Devil Tribulation. Moreover, some of the Demon Essence Race warriors took humans under their wing or intermingled with them, leaving behind descendants. These individuals were of no interest to the Demon Essence Race, so they were left behind to oversee this Secret Realm.    

"These traitors went on to establish a power base on the continent, which led to the formation of the Demon Aura Palace. The Devil Cloud Sect is simply a branch of the Demon Aura Palace on the Dongyuan Continent. The Demon Aura Palace has branches across the world, not just on our Dongyuan Continent but on other lands as well," Lin Xuan elaborated.    

"The Demon Aura Palace is among the mightiest dominions of the Central Essence Continent, boasting several Half-level Emperor powerhouses. I'm not yet strong enough to oppose them. However, the Devil Cloud Sect, being merely a branch, has no reason to continue existing." Lin Xuan's tone was icy.    

Wei Zhengzhen, Cang Shuiyue, and the others showed signs of sudden understanding. It made sense why Lin Xuan harbored such intense animosity toward the Devil Cloud Sect, determined to wipe them out completely. They too would not hesitate to eradicate the Devil Cloud Sect if they possessed the necessary power. Such a treacherous faction deserved to be purged by all.    

Subsequently, Wei Zhengzhen, Cang Shuiyue, and Elemental Spirit all looked concerned. It was unexpected that the Devil Cloud Sect had such a formidable patron in the Demon Aura Palace, one of the supreme forces of the Central Essence Continent. If even Lin Xuan couldn't stand against the Demon Aura Palace, what could they possibly do?    

"Don't worry," Lin Xuan reassured them, noticing their apprehension.    

The Demon Aura Hall, despite being established by those deceitful individuals, stands as one of the most formidable Overlord Level Forces on the Central Essence Continent. It is leagues beyond anything the Dongyuan Continent has to offer. Nevertheless, it does face competition.    

On the Central Essence Continent, there exists the Mysterious Heaven Hall, a force that rivals the Demon Aura Hall in strength and is its true adversary. The Devil Cloud Sect, a subsidiary force on the Dongyuan Continent, hardly garners the attention of the Demon Aura Hall.    

Among the Overlord Level Forces, the Half-level Emperor experts are the elite, the cream of the crop. They are the stalwarts of the Central Essence Continent, not to be mobilized lightly, and certainly not to be dispatched to the Dongyuan Continent.    

The Dongyuan Continent is separated from the Central Essence Continent by the vast expanse of the Heavenly Elemental Sea. For a Half-level Emperor expert to cross it would take considerable time, at least half a month, and is not without its perils. The Demon Aura Hall would not squander such a valuable asset frivolously.    

At most, they might send someone at the peak of the Emperor Level. With your capabilities, even if you can't defeat such an opponent, you should be able to hold your ground and protect yourselves.    

Upon hearing this, Wei Zhengzhen, Elemental Spirit, Yang Mao, and the others breathed a collective sigh of relief. They could manage as long as they didn't face someone of Lin Xuan's Half-level Emperor stature.    

Lin Xuan's own words had all but confirmed his status as a Half-level Emperor. His power was formidable and enigmatic, enough to dominate the entire Dongyuan Continent. Against him, they felt as fragile as ants, easily crushed.    

Another Half-level Emperor would be insurmountable for them. They would likely be nothing more than cannon fodder. Thankfully, as Lin Xuan pointed out, Half-level Emperors are exceedingly rare on the Central Essence Continent, each one a pivotal figure, an anchor of stability. They are not deployed without good reason, and certainly not to a different continent. The Demon Aura Hall, it seems, does not hold the Dongyuan Continent in high regard.    

Otherwise, why would they send only a handful of peak Emperor Level experts to establish the Devil Cloud Sect's branch in the Central Essence Continent? They didn't dispatch a Half-level Emperor. If a Half-level Emperor were present, they could easily overwhelm the entire Dongyuan Continent. Instead, we see a balance among the major powers. This indicates the significance Dongyuan Continent holds in the eyes of the Demon Aura Hall. It also underscores the critical importance of Half-level Emperors among the forces of the Central Essence Continent. Furthermore, the Demon Aura Hall is not unbeatable. There are rivals within the Central Essence Continent. Since the Mysterious Divine Hall can stand against the Demon Aura Hall, it must be formidable. It's likely difficult for them to spare attention for the Dongyuan Continent. With these thoughts, everyone's tension eased somewhat. However, the sense of ease was fleeting, and soon they were weighed down by concern again.    

"Hall Master, when will the Cosmic Devil Tribulation descend, and how should we prepare?" they inquired after exchanging glances. Elemental Spirit stepped forward and posed the question with due respect. If Lin Xuan's words held truth, then this threat loomed larger than the Demon Aura Hall itself. From ancient texts and relics, we know that during the Ancient Times, the Sky Origin Temple stood as the sole overlord, and its strength was evident. Now, the number of Emperor Level experts unable to advance far exceeds a mere handful. There are even several Supreme Level experts. Their might is incomparable to this era's standards. Yet, they were effortlessly vanquished by the Cosmic Devil Tribulation and the Demon Essence Race. To this day, the Tianyuan Continent remains under the Demon Essence Race's dominion. We are less than ants to them, powerless to resist.    

"The last Cosmic Devil Tribulation occurred thousands of years ago. The next one is imminent, possibly decades or even a century away. But I share this not to instill fear in you," Lin Xuan spoke with a soothing tone, devoid of any fear. After a brief pause, he continued, "The Demon Essence Race, an extraterrestrial force, is indeed formidable. However, the current state of the Tianyuan Continent, with its waning spiritual Qi and fragmented laws, is a shadow of its former glory from the Ancient Times."    

The Demon Essence Race won't focus heavily on the Tianyuan Continent, and the warriors they dispatch won't be as formidable.    

There's still hope for a successful defense.
