1The Canglan River stretched endlessly on either side, its vast expanse so deep that its bottom remained unseen. Its abundant aquatic resources sustained the entire Canglan Sect. Yet, this bounty came with its challenges. Massive waves would often rise, threatening to engulf the Canglan Sect. The tides ebbed and flowed, and occasionally, water demons would emerge to launch attacks on the sect.

To counter these dangers, the Canglan Sect maintained a protective barrier year-round, a practice not shared by other factions. This shield was a significant drain on resources. The responsibility to replenish these resources fell upon everyone, from the elders at the Martial Monarch Stage to the core disciples of the Martial King Stage, and from those at the Void Martial Stage to the Elemental Sea Stage, including the deacons.

This was part of what made the Canglan Sect unique among the six great forces—it was the only one led by a woman. Despite this, its strength was formidable within the six sects. In an environment where the water element was enhanced, it was nearly impossible to find an equal match.

An Emperor Level Flying Ship hovered high in the sky. Lin Xuan stood at the forefront of the deck, gazing down at the peculiar landscape with keen interest. The land shaped its people, and in this place where yang was dominant, it was no surprise that the woman-led Canglan Sect held sway over everything. After surveying the area for a moment, Lin Xuan withdrew his attention.

"Let's go," he said.

Lin Xuan soared from the deck, descending toward the Canglan Sect's grounds below. The other Emperor Level Martial Cultivators followed closely behind. The massive Emperor Level High-grade Flying Ship was then stowed away.

Cang Shuiyue, the sole peak Emperor Level Martial Cultivator and the de facto leader of the Canglan Sect, kept pace with Lin Xuan. Before his landing, she hastily manipulated the sect's grand array with the array token, opening a gap in the protective barrier. She was careful not to delay; any hesitation or a forced entry by Lin Xuan could bring severe repercussions to the sect. She remembered all too well the incident at the East Saint Sect, where Sun Yan's reluctance to open the protective barrier for negotiations had led to an unfavorable outcome.

She dared not take any chances. If Lin Xuan grew impatient and decided to blast his way through, the Canglan Sect would suffer greatly. She vividly remembered the time at the East Saint Sect when Sun Yan, seeking to negotiate and improve his bargaining position, refused to deactivate the protective sect array. Lin Xuan had responded by shattering it with a single punch. That seemingly effortless punch possessed such formidable power that it was earth-shattering and unforgettable. Even the East Saint Sect, which was clearly stronger than the Canglan Sect, could not withstand it. Cang Shuiyue had no illusions about the Canglan Sect's ability to resist.

In an instant, a crack tens of meters long appeared in the transparent, water-ripple-like light barrier, right beneath where Lin Xuan was set to land. The group smoothly entered the Canglan Sect's encampment. Not far below, dozens of Emperor Level Martial Cultivators were assembled, all of whom were women. While the Canglan Sect did have men, they were mostly low-level servants, laborers, and commoners. Male martial cultivators with high potential were rarely cultivated; they were either overlooked or sent to other sects as a favor. The emergence of Emperor Level male martial cultivators was virtually unheard of. The sect was led by women, a principle that had been upheld consistently from the start.

Even the prestigious Jade Dragon Mountain on the Central Essence Continent couldn't compare. There, male elders at the peak of the Emperor Level still held sway. However, Lin Xuan was indifferent to such matters. Obedience was all he required; the gender or age of his subordinates was of no concern to him. These female Emperor Level Martial Cultivators represented the high command of Jade Dragon Mountain.

Before Cang Shuiyue's return, she had communicated her decision via a sound transmitting talisman. Typically, these high-ranking officials made most of the important decisions. As the sole peak Emperor Level Martial Cultivator, Cang Shuiyue rarely intervened in the sect's affairs. But once she made a decision, there was no room for negotiation. In this world, power was revered, and strength reigned supreme.

If they didn't listen, they were dealt with accordingly.

At the pinnacle of the Emperor Level, these cultivators were overwhelmingly superior to those in the late Emperor Level, not to mention those with even lower cultivation.

As a result, the high-ranking members of the Canglan Sect had all agreed to submit.

Those who disagreed had already been forcibly detained.

This was to prevent any disturbance to the dignitaries.

Cang Shuiyue would handle the situation afterward.

"Hall Master, the Canglan Sect has pledged its allegiance. These are all the Emperor Level Martial Cultivators of our sect."

Cang Shuiyue approached the group of Emperor Level Martial Cultivators and bowed deeply.

"What are you waiting for? Pay your respects to the Hall Master!"

She then sharply commanded the Emperor Level Martial Cultivators behind her.

"We greet the Hall Master!"

"We have seen the Hall Master!"

"…"

The Emperor Level Martial Cultivators all bowed with the utmost respect.

Cang Shuiyue's extreme deference and caution highlighted the formidable presence of the other party.

They certainly did not dare to underestimate him.

Many curious eyes were also fixed on Lin Xuan.

Lin Xuan's appearance was strikingly youthful.

He seemed like a prodigious young talent in his twenties.

Yet, his aura was profound and boundless, like the depths of the ocean.

Standing there, the spiritual energy of heaven and earth naturally flowed toward him.

This created an indescribable sense of oppression.

It was as if he were the center of the world, compelling an involuntary desire to submit, with no urge to resist.

Even though Lin Xuan had not taken action within the Canglan Sect this time,

the mere presence of these factors was enough to deter the sect's high-level Emperor Level Martial Cultivators from entertaining any other thoughts.

"Mm."

Lin Xuan expressed his satisfaction with the discernment shown by Cang Shuiyue and the other high-ranking members of the Canglan Sect.

However, the strength of the Canglan Sect was indeed the weakest among the six sects.

This was true for both the number of peak Emperor Level Martial Cultivators and the overall count of Emperor Level Martial Cultivators.

If not for the sect's grand protective formation, which harnessed the environment's energy, the situation would be dire.

Even several peak Emperor Level cultivators would struggle to breach such defenses.

While their offensive capabilities might be lacking, their defenses were more than sufficient.

Indeed, the Canglan Sect could be easily destroyed by the likes of the Devil Cloud Sect or the East Saint Sect if not for their formidable protective measures.

Harnessing the endless energy of the vast and boundless river, the Canglan Sect's power was inexhaustible and formidable, a challenge even for several Emperor Level Martial Cultivators at their peak. While their offense might be lacking, their defense was more than sufficient. Alone, either the Devil Cloud Sect or the East Saint Sect could have annihilated the Canglan Sect.

Lin Xuan, however, paid these details no mind. The relative strength of the cultivators was inconsequential. Since his return to the Dongyuan Continent, he had obliterated the Devil Cloud Sect. The other five sects, including the Elemental Spirit Sect and the East Saint Sect, had all been subdued. He had yet to encounter any force that could give him pause. No cultivator could withstand even a single attack from him, provided the disparity in strength wasn't too vast.

"Very good," Lin Xuan acknowledged with a slight nod. "From today onwards, the Canglan Sect will officially become a branch under the Tianyuan Palace!"

With those words, a torrent of white spiritual light burst forth from Lin Xuan, cascading over Cang Shuiyue and the other high-ranking members of the Canglan Sect, as well as the sect's protective formation. The light merged seamlessly, meeting no resistance. This was a familiar ritual, one Cang Shuiyue had witnessed many times before.

She understood that Lin Xuan's level was far beyond their own, and resistance was futile. She had already prepared the younger members of the sect. Only by undergoing this process could they truly be considered as having submitted to his authority.
