C1443 Realization

1After the Elemental Spirit Sect pledged allegiance to Tianyuan Palace, it was restructured as the Elemental Spirit Hall within the palace. This news quickly spread among the top ranks of the six major powers. In reality, the change wasn't all that significant. After all, since Lin Xuan had given him the authority to appoint the Hall Master, the Eastern Righteous Hall remained firmly in his grasp. Furthermore, this position could bring even greater advantages.

By stepping out of the confines of the various halls and ascending to the Elder Pavilion as an elder, his status would surpass that of the other halls. He would possess the authority to command the warriors from all the halls to serve his purposes. This was akin to bridging the divide between the major forces—a feat that was once utterly unattainable unless one force completely obliterated and absorbed the other. Yet, Lin Xuan, with his immense power, had managed to subdue the sects and make this a reality, a turn of events previously unimaginable.

"Li Jian, from this day forward, you will serve as the Hall Master of the Eastern Righteous Hall. Remember, you are to manage the hall diligently on behalf of the Hall Master," Wei Zhengzhen declared after some deliberation, bestowing the leadership upon Li Jian, a well-regarded member of his faction whose cultivation had reached level 9 of the Martial Monarch Stage.

Li Jian, despite his appearance as a gaunt, elderly man seemingly nearing the end of his life, was far from simple. Having attained level 9 of the Martial Monarch Stage, his life force was deeply conserved, and he could easily live for another century.

"Thank you, Elder Wei. I, Li Jian, pay my respects to the Hall Master! I will certainly fulfill my duties and manage the Eastern Righteous Hall to the best of my abilities," Li Jian responded, initially taken aback but quickly overcome with elation.

He had never anticipated the opportunity to oversee the entire East Saint Sect, or rather, the Eastern Righteous Hall. Although his cultivation was just a notch below the few at the peak Emperor Level within the sect, without being part of the Sect Master's lineage, the chance to wield such power was previously out of reach. Now, against all odds, that chance had become his reality.

The role of the hall master of the East Saint Hall was on par with the former Sect Master of the East Saint Sect. Even though the Sect Master's lineage had been wiped out, leaving the East Saint Hall somewhat diminished compared to its predecessor, its status remained extraordinary, towering at the pinnacle of the continent. In this position, one's status, dignity, and access to resources, combat strength, and privileges were beyond comparison to those at the same level, which was cause for considerable excitement.

Among those present, there were several Martial Monarchs at level 9, with a few even stronger than Li Jian. Yet, they all looked on with great envy at Li Jian, a testament to the impact of a change in status. Wei Zhengzhen continued to speak, offering guidance. Li Jian quickly grasped his meaning and responded with due respect.

"Which is closer, the Purple Cauldron Sect or the Thunder Yang Pavilion?" inquired Lin Xuan, nodding in acknowledgment and turning his gaze to Wei Zhengzhen. Clearly, Lin Xuan intended to make rounds to all the sects. His goal was not only to bring them under his control but also to seize the opportunity to pillage them.

Wei Zhengzhen could understand this rationale. The newcomer was likely not a warrior from the Dongyuan Continent but from the mythical Central Essence Continent. His cultivation level had exceeded the Emperor Level, reaching the fabled Half-level Emperor. The resources required for such advanced cultivation were undoubtedly vast, far surpassing those at the peak of the Emperor Level. It was only natural for him to want to secure his cultivation progress by plundering in the face of no opposition. Wei Zhengzhen admitted to himself that he might do the same in that position. However, being on the receiving end of the plunder was far less pleasant.

Now, his own sect, once the East Saint Sect and now the East Saint Hall, had already been ransacked. He was eager to see the other sects share the same fate, which would provide him some solace.

"Reporting to the Hall Master, the Purple Cauldron Sect is situated in Wuchen State, closer to us than the Thunder Yang Pavilion," Wei Zhengzhen promptly replied.

"Then we'll head to the Purple Cauldron Sect first. Lead the way," decided Lin Xuan.

"Yes, Senior!" This time, the response came not from Wei Zhengzhen but from Yang Mao, the peak Emperor Level warrior from the Purple Cauldron Sect.

He was an unremarkable man, always carrying a long saber, with an ever-present surge of battle intent.

Unlike the other five sects, the Purple Cauldron Sect relished in combat, excelling at strengthening themselves through battle.

Consequently, they were typically quite formidable among their peers.

Excluding the East Saint Sect and the Devil Cloud Sect, which boasted exceptional legacies, few from the remaining three sects could stand against the Purple Cauldron Sect.

This led to most Purple Cauldron Sect warriors being hot-tempered, quick to engage in a fight over disagreements.

However, today, Yang Mao, known across the continent for his love of battle and his terrible temper, had become subdued, like a tiger retracting its claws to become a kitten.

Throughout the entire time, he remained composed and serene.

Had they not been familiar with each other as equals, Wei Zhengzhen and the others would have thought they had mistaken him for someone else.

Even now, Lin Xuan's intentions could not be clearer.

He aimed to subdue the Purple Cauldron Sect and reduce it to a branch under Tianyuan Palace, then loot the sect for its treasures.

Yang Mao was surprisingly compliant, without a hint of protest.

The reason was simple.

The power Lin Xuan demonstrated was overwhelmingly fearsome, enough to terrify him.

His every move seemed to cause the heavens and earth to shatter, eliminating a peak Emperor Level opponent as effortlessly as breathing.

This prowess was well beyond his own level of cultivation.

Indeed, Yang Mao was known for his foul temper and eagerness for battle, ready to erupt into conflict at the slightest provocation.

But his love for battle was about the thrill of self-improvement that followed, not a death wish.

He wasn't foolish.

Faced with a chasmic disparity in strength, if he continued to be defiant and volatile, he would likely meet his end at Lin Xuan's hand with a mere slap.

Had the Purple Cauldron Sect been filled with such individuals, they would have been destroyed long ago.

Instead, they stood as one of the six great powers on the Dongyuan Continent.

Before they let anger lead them into battle, they would always weigh the levels of both parties involved. The primary concern was to ensure their own safety. After all, if one couldn't even safeguard their own life, what else was there to discuss? Therefore, despite his deep attachment to his sect and his extreme reluctance, he felt compelled to agree under the current circumstances. Having witnessed the downfall of the East Saint Sect, he dared not entertain any further notions.

The East Saint Sect had been decimated by Lin Xuan's ferocious punch, merely because Sun Yan had expressed a desire to negotiate. Without a definitive refusal, Lin Xuan had violently shattered the East Saint Sect's protective formation. The entire lineage of Sun Yan's Sect Master was obliterated. While this act was meant to establish dominance and serve as a warning to others, it also clearly conveyed Lin Xuan's stance.

His goal was to found Tianyuan Palace, unite the six major forces, and reign supreme over the continent—this was beyond question. He was driving this ambition with overwhelming strength. In this world where power is revered and the strong rule, as long as one is sufficiently resolute, no significant obstacles would arise before the emergence of a Half-level Emperor to challenge him. The task was not particularly difficult. Any force that sought to obstruct him risked facing the same fate as the Devil Cloud Sect—complete annihilation.
