Shi Miao, who had been staring at him the whole time, was shocked by his reaction. She quickly reached out and patted his chest, trying to make him fall asleep again.

Shi Miao, who was at the side, saw that Zhan Yeling was enduring the pain and refused to say anything. However, the veins on his forehead bulged, and he said with a heartache, "If you feel pain, just shout it out."    

However, Zhan Yeling was afraid that she would worry, so he didn't say anything. He shook his head and forced a smile, "I'm fine. I can endure this pain."    

However, the side effect of the antidote was not only pain. The terrifying effect of the medicine soon reached the second step.    

Zhan Yeling kept pulling the blanket and murmured, “It’s so hot… It’s so hot…” Obviously, he was unconscious.    

Hearing him say that it was hot, Shi Miao quickly reached out to touch his forehead, but she felt that it was covered in cold sweat. Her hand felt even colder.    

This contrast made Shi Miao unable to help but feel worried. She whispered into his ear, “Yeling, are you hot? Or do you feel cold?”

Seeing this, Shi Miao did not hesitate anymore. She got up and went to the bathroom to put in a bathtub of cold water. Then, she went back to the bedside.    

She helped Zhan Yeling up and put his arm on her shoulder. With great difficulty, she helped him into the bathroom.    

She did not have time to take off her clothes. Shi Miao quickly put Zhan Yeling, who kept shouting that it was hot, into the bathtub, hoping that he would feel better. This method was indeed effective. Zhan Yeling, who was wrapped in cold water, finally relaxed his eyebrows, as if the pain had been relieved.    

However, not long after, he suddenly started to tremble. He held his arms tightly and started to shout that it was cold again.    

Seeing him like this, Shi Miao was shocked. She thought that he had been soaked in cold water for too long, so she quickly helped him up from the bathtub.    

"Yeling, let me take you to your bedroom, okay?" Shi Miao whispered into his ear as she led him into the bedroom.    

Both of them were drenched, but Shi Miao didn't have time to care about herself. She just wanted to take off Zhan Yeling's clothes.    

Seeing that he was shaking nonstop, Shi Miao turned on the air conditioner in the bedroom and wrapped him tightly with a towel.    

Even though Shi Miao tried her best to warm him up, Zhan Yeling still didn't show any signs of improvement. He kept on saying that it was cold.    

Seeing Zhan Yeling leaning into her arms and frowning, she murmured, "Meow... I'm so cold..."
